How to Backup Windows Live Mail?
You must close Windows Live Mail and Windows Messenger, Don't run them during the backup process.
Step 1: Choose a user to backup.
ABC Windows Live Mail Backup will backup current user Windows Live Mail data.
Step 2: You must select at least one item to backup, otherwise an
error message will be shown.
Step 3: Choose a backup filename. The backup file must be given a
filename, Please click "browse" button to composes a
filename(*.wlm). If you want password
protect the backup data, please select "Protect
backup file with password"
item and enter your password.
Step 4: Enter Description of the backup file.
Step 5: Click "Backup Now" button ,The Backup will
was completed.
Step 6: If you need to
backup your data to CD/DVD, Please Click "Backup data to CD/DVD"
Menu to burn your CD or DVD.
Restore

How to Restore Windows Live Mail?
You must close Windows Live Mail and Windows Messenger, Don't run them during the
restore process.
Step 1: Choose a Backup File to restore, Please click "browse"
button to select a backup file(*.wlm),
It
will ask for the password if the password protection for this backup
file was enabled. please input the correct
password and click "OK" to continue.
Step 2: You must select at least one item to restore, otherwise an
error message will be shown.
Step 3: Click "Restore Now" button, The Restore will
was completed. Windows Live Mail Data is restored to current user.
Schedule automatic backup
To display the
Schedule settings please click on the "Option/Task Scheduler"
menu.
In the the screen you have the following controls:
Identities List Here you can check the Identities you
would like to backup.
Items List you can check or uncheck the items you desire.
Password you can use password to protect your backup
file.
You can easily
setup to have the Email Data backed up daily, weekly and at the
time of the day of your choice.
Under the controls mentioned above you have the Backup Folder
and Backup file name, where you can select the folder and file
name where the scheduled backups should be created.
Using Password Protection
You can protect your backup file
with a password to prevent unwanted access to your Windows Mail
data. To enable password protection, check the
'Protect File with a Password' checkbox. This will enable
the password fields below the checkbox.
For security reasons, Both
password fields must match, otherwise ABC Windows Mail Backup
will show an error message and will not allow you to proceed to
the backup procedure. Be sure to remember the password because
there is no way to recover it if it is lost.
